Dave Howell is a trumpeter with many influences ranging from jazz and jazz funk to classical taking in many different world music influences along the way. He also plays the piano and guitar and writes and arranges his own music. He is a very controlled and versatile player showing off all the necessary aspects of solid trumpet playing. His soloing is instantly identifiable and his section playing is tight and neat.

Dave plays with many other diverse groups including an acoustic trio, a brass quintet and the Funkadrome, an 11 piece funk, rock, soul band.

Dave has played professionally around London for many years and has recently returned to study. He is currently studying for a BMus at City University and studying trumpet at the Guildhall, London.
