Richard Swan is a freelance musician and educator. He has worked as an instrumental teacher and as Director of Music for several schools. He has been Musical Director for the BBC Television programme "Songs of Praise" and has played and arranged for Graham Kendrick, Rob Lacey, Andy Piercy, Judy Bailey, Eska Mtungwazi, and Geraldine Latty. In addition to Melodius Thunk, he plays keyboards for various other bands. 
Richard is a prolific writer and arranger of music. He wrote the choir and string arrangements for "King of Fools" which reached number 13 in the UK album charts), and has published music for school bands and for Kevin Mayhew publishers. He has performed at festivals such as Leading Edge, Northern Light, Spring Harvest and the Kingsway Worship conferences. He has also written the music for two short films.
Richard plays a variety of instruments. In addition to singing and playing piano and accordion, he also plays guitar and bass.
